I really should write a post that literally just gives a link and then mic drop and walk away.
But I won’t do that because I really do love Ebates. I discovered it about a year ago and yeah…I pretty much try to buy everything I can online now. I think they recently came out with some cash back for in store as well. There are thousands of stores that you can possibly get cash back for doing nothing.
So let me explain what Ebates is for some of those that have never used it. Do you buy things online? Do you buy things online a lot? Good! We definitely have something in common then because I probably buy about 80% of my products online.
Ebates basically acts as an affiliate page. You go through their website to get to the retail website you want to make the purchase from. Ebates will then make a record that you have started a shopping trip through them and once you have checked out, they are notified and you get a percentage back from whatever you spent on your purchase.
For example, I like to shop at Sephora. If I go to Ebates.com and do a search for Sephora, I will click to start shopping there. It will give me a message saying that it is starting a shopping trip and then BAM! I am shopping at Sephora. I go to checkout and after a few days I will then get an email stating how much cash back I got.
One of the best parts is that Ebates keeps records of coupons or promo codes, so if they see that there is a code that you could use it will tell you and apply them at checkout.
Some of the websites that have a really good percentage of cash back are:
Sephora
Amazon
Macys
Nordstroms
I strongly suggest if you have a large purchase to make such as a new laptop, wait until Dell or another computer site has double cash back. I got about $50 cash back after buying my laptop from HP.com for doing nothing other than going through Ebates.
One thing that makes it even easier is to get the Ebates Extension for your browser. I strongly suggest getting this added to your browser. On Chrome you can get an Extension that goes in the top right of your browser and whenever you go to a retail store, a little pop-up will appear in the corner saying what the cash back is and if you want to activate a shopping trip with them. No really?…It is that simple.
In a year I have gotten about $170 cashback and from what I have seen that is tiny compared to other people that use it
I hope you take advantage of it. Free money. Literally. Free.
If there was any sort of payment involved with them (which their isn’t), this meme would be goals.
