I have always had very specific taste when it came to the clothing that I wanted for mini. Even when she was a baby I just did not care for the girls clothing that was covered in glitter, butterflies, and flowers. Just so damn busy. My own style is very simple and although I don’t want her to wear black all day like me, I just did not like the crazy girly clothing.
I discovered Primary.com while I was watching LinzdeFranco on Youtube. She is married to a very well known Youtuber and she is also a new mother. She did a video and mentioned the company and talked about their motto. No logos, no slogans, no sequins. My Scooby Ears went up and had a look at their website. Their stuff really did look great. They don’t have any tags on their clothing and none of their items have any sort of design or print.
The sizing we got were a size 3 in the leggings as mini is 3 at the moment. They fit perfect right now, which makes sense. She fits perfectly in most 3T sizing. The Tunic tee we got in a size 4-5, which you can see is a bit big in the pictures, but I asked for a bigger size on that to see if it could work as a dress. The reversible twirly skirt we got in size 2-3 and it fits perfectly right now. It is a little bit shorter so unless you get a bigger size, you probably need to have them wear some tights or leggings.
The quality of the items are really nice. The tunic tee is 100% super soft cotton slub. It is really soft and mini said it was comfortable. The tag is printed on the back of the shirt so there is no flap bugging them in the neck. The tunic tee has a bit of a high low in the back which is really cute and practical if they are wearing it as a dress so it covers their bum.
The leggings are made out of 92% cotton, 8% spandex for softness but they do have really good stretch. When they came, I thought the leggings were going to be too small, but they fit really well on her. The leggings did not roll up or move around. They have a nice seam along the edge that makes them look more like ponte pants rather than leggings.
The reversible twirly is 100% cotton with an elastic waist. The fabric itself doesn’t stretch, but the elastic back part of the waist is really nice. Since it is cotton it does wrinkle a little bit but you can’t really get around that. Like I said, the skirt is a little bit short but we got size 2-3 and I think it would be meant to be worn with legging shorts or leggings underneath.
I really think the quality of these items is great. I washed them all together on cold and there was no fading or bleeding, which was really great! I was expecting the blue pants to bleed a bit the first time I washed them but they looked just as vibrant as when they came in the mail. The lavender part of the reversible skirt did not get any of the other colors on it from the wash.
If you are looking for simple pieces that can go with anything, I would really take a look at ds. They have free shipping over $50 and they have over 15+ vibrant colors to choose from. If you buy as a group, you can get deals by buying multiples of the same items as well. They have sizes ranging from baby (0-24 months) and kids (2-12 years) and their website shows how they fit on each of the different sizes of children. I plan to get some of these items for my friends that are having kids.
Disclosure – I received these items to review for free. All opinions are my own.
